This Is The Place
In 2020, Thelma Baptist Church has the unique opportunity to celebrate a big milestone in her history as a local church... turning one hundred years old. That's right, TBC was founded way back in 1920. It is staggering to think of all the unique people God has used through the years to make us who we are today. Countless Pastors, staff, teachers, leaders, and volunteers have been a part of numerous salvation experiences, baptisms, community service projects, mission projects, and generous giving efforts.
Throughout the month of February, Pastor Doug is preaching a sermon series called, "This Is The Place." The series focuses on a Biblical perspective for being the body of Christ serving in our local community. Indeed, this is the place where many things have happened. This is the place where we pray together, cry together, laugh, worship, serve, give, and live life together.
March 15, 2020 there will be a special day of celebration. We will gather for one special worship service that day at 10:00AM and enjoy powerful worship and a message by TBC's very own Donny Barber. Following worship, lunch will be served in the Family Life Center. The day will be capped off with a special concert by Tim Lovelace back in the auditorium. You will not want to miss this special day of celebration.
