** please remember that you need to arrive before 7pm. Childcare opens at 6:30, event doors will open at 6:45 giving you time to find your seats. We will be serving desserts again this year, so please eat dinner before you arrive.
Can't wait to see everyone come out & enjoy their evening with their spouse!

Thanks Michelle. Sounds like all is going well. We miss Hope, but we are so proud of what she is doing. Tell her we had an adventure today on the way to Wal-Mart, Caroline threw up all over herself in the carseat! I had to pull over, strip her down, and head home! What a ride. She's been fine since then, must have been something she ate! Take care and God bless!

Great question, one that should probably be saved for our pastor, but I will try to address it the best that I can.
The bible is not explicit as to which day of the week that Jesus was crucified. There are widely held views for Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. In Matt. 12:40, Jesus states that, "For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of a huge fish, so the Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth." He could have been considered in the grave for three days because in Jewish thought, a part of a day was considered a day. The main reason for a Friday crucifixion is in Mark 15:42 where Joseph of Arimathea asked for Jesus body on the Preparation Day (the day before the Sabbath).
Those who hold a Thursday view state that too many events occurred between a Friday burial and a Sunday morning resurrection.
Those who hold to a Wednesday crucifixion state that there were two Sabbaths that week (the passover could be considered a Sabbath as well as the regular Sabbath day).
there are problems with each of these views. The important thing is not what day of the week it happened. The important thing is that it DID happen and because of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus, we have access to the Father and eternal life!
